Welcome to the Bourne Police Headquarters Building Project Web Site

Thank You Bourne for All Your Support!

Construction is Underway!

The police station project was overwhelmingly approved by Bourne voters on December 6th.

This site will provide continued information and updates about the new Bourne Police Department building project.

The existing police station did not meet the needs of a modern police department.  The building was undersized, deteriorating, did not meet current state and federal codes, and contained hazardous materials including asbestos and mold.  There was a lack of secure separation between prisoner processing and public areas, secure evidence processing and storage areas, and building security monitoring.  For a more detailed description of the existing conditions, please click here.

The new police station project will replace the existing building with a new facility designed to efficiently support the operations of the Bourne Police Department.  The new facility will also be moved to a new location adjacent to the Route 6/28 Bypass at the end of Armory Rd.  This web site contains information about the project including a description of the study process, an overview of existing conditions, and frequently asked questions. Please check back often for updates as the project continues.
